Coeur Vitality Integrative Medicine is excited to announce that we’ll be adding a new physician to the clinic!
Dr. George Bell, an Internist, joined Coeur Vitality in April of 2022, and has a membership-based panel, partnering with Signature MD- similar to Dr. Burns.
An impressive resumé begins modestly, with Dr. Bell spending his youth in the dairy country of rural Illinois, graduating high school in a class of 36. Excelling at the University of Illinois, Dr. Bell was first accepted to the highly competitive Honors Biology program, then attended U of I Medical School on a Navy scholarship.
While in the Navy, Dr. Bell served with distinction as a Battalion Surgeon in the Marine Corps. On active duty, he received a commendation for earthquake relief efforts in Panama, as well as serving on the front lines of Operation Desert Storm, attached to an infantry battalion- after which he was awarded the Kuwaiti Service Medal for helping to liberate the citizens of that country.
After finishing his active military service, Dr. Bell completed his training in Internal Medicine at the West LA VA-UCLA Medical program, where he received both Intern of the Year and Resident of the Year awards for his entire tenure.
Moving to Idaho in 1996, Dr. Bell practiced Internal Medicine in private practice, before eventually moving to the Carolinas to better care for his elderly parents. Returning to North Idaho, Dr. Bell is excited to continue to do what he loves, in in the place he loves- beautiful North Idaho.
Dr. Bell lives with his wonderful wife, Heather, who grew up in the panhandle, the daughter of a long-time family physician. Together, they’ve enjoyed raising their son, Prentice- spending time outdoors in particular. Favorite activities include fly fishing, hiking, and boating.
As an Internal Medicine specialist, Dr. Bell focuses his care on adults, and has shifted his practice to a limited concierge panel of patients in order to provide the framework to give better more detailed care. Longer conversations lead to a better understanding, and easier, faster communication guide improved outcomes and general wellbeing for the patient.
